Welcome 2007,
goodbye 2006, such a good thing to think that Give A Life
(GAL) Foundation, since its culmination is welcoming another
year – another year – another great challenges.
WE, from Give A
Life (GAL) are very grateful to those countless individuals
and agencies that supported and offered their donations,
pledges, and even their own self to keep the foundation
running. All your efforts have never been futile. Many
pediatric wards have already been built and renovated.
Survival among children who are cancer patients is
increasing and medicines among the less fortunate are nearly
becoming a less of their problem. But, we know we should
never stop from here. Nobody knows how things will last for
the foundation...but GAL is keeping high hopes that year
2007 will be another great year to meet new good Samaritans
who will be our partners in giving and sowing life.
But before we fully
open our doors for 2007, we invite you to join us, as we
back track on the highlights of year 2005 and 2006 for Give
A Life. |

The construction of the pediatric emergency rooms of
Dr. Jose O. Reyes Memorial Medical Center in year 2005
was one of the foundation’s major projects. It was
opened the same year and was made possible through the
help of Springboard Foundation. Now, it caters to about
hundreds of pediatric cancer patients.
See the before
and after shots of it and how things grew in progress.

Year 2006
With 2006, new partnerships had been formed and
worthwhile projects had been made – all for the benefits
of the children stricken of cancer and other diseases,
which rob their lives and their futures.
A donation from Mont Blanc Foundation (MBF) to buy life
saving medicines and hospital supplies opened the year
for Give A Life. In photo, is Ms. Diana D. Martin, MBF’s
Vice President handling over the check worth 500,000.00
pesos to Ms. Melanie Ilisan of Give A Life. Also in
photo are MBF Trustees: Ms. Grace Merin (from left), Ms.
Antonette D. Martin and Ms. Liza Hular.

 |
| |
Medicines and medical supplies
like syringe pumps were donated by Springboard
foundation for the benefits of Jose R. Reyes Memorial
Medical Center charity patients.
|

 |
 |
| |
In August 10, 2006, Ms. Antonette D. Martin, MBF Trustee
visited Jose Fabella Memorial Hospital asking some
information about the conditions of their NICU patients

In photo are newly born babes in the Neo-Natal Internal
Care Unit (NICU) of Fabella Hospital. These babies, at
the onset of their birth, require proper care and
medical attention. They are put into incubators to
regulate their body heat and provide them protection to
keep them away from infections and other diseases
acquired after birth. Incubators at Fabella hospital are
limited in numbers, thus, these three babies have to
cramp their sensitive bodies to fit into one incubator.
Through your donations, GAL aims to provide each baby a
one incubator to properly ensure his or her survival.
Don’t you think it would be a good birth day gift for
them! Don’t you?
|
| |
 |
 |
 |
| |
In mid-2006, this was the drastic condition of the NICU
of Fabella Memorial Hospital. With Springboard
Foundation and Bosch Philippines, the renovation and
refurbishment of NICU was started and was completed
early this 2007.
|
| |
 |
| |
The newly renovated NICU ward of Fabella Hospital
sponsored by Bosch Philippines and Springboard
Foundation is now fully operational. Thanks to
Springboard and Bosch Philippines for giving LIFE!!!
